Gilles Bone Digital Art and Illustration

My good friend Gilles Bone has been working his butt off for as long as I have known him to create the best art he can, and you may recognize his stuff from lots of popular 24 hour tee sites. I’m happy to say he finally opened up his own website and shop, and I want to show him off.

Buy Throne of Magic

Throne of Magic is available on his site for $18 USD in Men, Women, and Child sizes. The colour of the shirt affects the look of the design as the line work is transparent! (Except for on the lighter sand colour). The Throne from Game of Thrones is re-imagined as Sailor Moon’s throne, skillfully crafted with the various weapons and items from Magical Girls throughout the decades.

Buy A Moon Prism Christmas Sweater

A Moon Prism Christmas tee is $18, and the sweater is $35. Not a bad deal for a custom sweater (and it’s currently on sale for $25!! GO GO GO!) . Bring Sailor Moon into Christmas, and to your favourite ugly sweater party (except you’ll have the prettiest sweater there XD)!

Click the pictures below to see his other Sailor Moon pieces.

Meeting of Fate and Guardian of the Dream World are my FAVES!

Aside from Sailor Moon art, Gilles has also made some of my fave Disney, anime, and other fan pieces (Click to view).

And if his shirts don’t tickle your fancy his Redbubble might give you better merchandise to suit your needs!

A Taste of Animethon and Januarys Haul

A Taste of Animethon was this weekend, and boy was it GREAT! I had a table in the Artist Alley that sadly didn’t do as well as I had hoped it would, but you win some you lose some. Guess it’s time to retire some prints, and create new ones!

I’m currently running a Valentines Day sale in my shop until February 14th! Get 50% off purchases until Feb 14th by typing in BEMINE1 in the coupon section of the checkout process.

Along with my table I also ran a Sailor Moon panel on Saturday night. I covered merchandise announced between my last panel in August, and now. Surprisingly that only took 40 minutes, despite the details I pointed out, questions, conversations, and my overwhelming amount of “Uhms”. When I get the footage from my friend I’ll be sure to post it here.

AToA never hurt my pocket too much though. I only picked up 1 print, 3 buttons, and a custom Digimon crest necklace (photos below). But I also received some free art and birthday presents from friends.  That was really cool.

I’m a little bias when it comes to my opinion of Animethon. It was my first convention, I’ve been attending as a patron and Artist in their Artist Alley for roughly a decade, and I even ran their Artist Alley for a year… but overall I think AToA was a great event, and I can’t wait for their main event in August. It has a wonderful community vibe to it, and everyone from the staff, to the vendors, to the artist alley are friends. Competition is rough, but everyone seems to care about everyone’s welfare in the end.

And yes. My birthday was January 16th. I turned the ripe old age of 25, and I’m a little horrified by that… but it has to happen. I celebrated with a few close friends at Boston Pizza, and then a walk through of the Harry Potter Exhibit which is currently showing in my city. My BFF and her husband bought me Hermione’s wand as a gift, and I picked up a Raven Claw pen ❤

Sorry I have no photos of the exhibit. You weren’t allowed to take any photos.

The details in the pen and wand are amazing. Sadly I wanted Sirius’ wand, but they didn’t have one for sale at the event.

On to the loots!

I’ll be posting up a new review this week! I have LOTS of pictures of everything here… just need the time to edit and get them up.

Have a wonderful week!

Pop Culture Fair and Moar

So, not one of my best collection photos ever. I never used my normal pink blanket for the back drop since my photo area is MIA at the moment. Not really sure where or how I want to set up a new one.

In this photo you see a Rapunzel doll on the left. She’s fully posable, as are the Tiana and Mulan dolls beside her. They’re generally from the same line. Got them at the Disney Store for 2 for $25. I believe Rapunzel was $20 alone because she’s a new character. The larger Rapunzel doll is from their toddler line. Got her today for $40 at the Disney store. her expression BEGGED me to buy her. I’ve also got the Ariel version of thse dolls, but I found out today that her clothing is damaged. Her shoulder strap is missing it’s flowers. Oh well. I love her anyways. The Diana coin purse came from Warp 1 on Whyte Ave (Edmonton). Got her for $10. The Pikachu slippers are official. Got them from a vendor at the Pop Culture Fair today for $20. They’re SO comfy and warm <33333 . The Eternal Sailor moon plushie is the one I mentioned in my last post. I got her for $15 at Warp 1 the same time I got the coin purse. Below her are my Nightmare before Christmas and Tangled CDs which I got from HMV. Today at the Pop Culture Fair I also managed to pick up that Spiderman Loves Mary Jane book for $20, Aladdin and the King of Theives for $15, Power Puff Girls movie for $15, and Paprika for $10. Kirby’s Epic Yarn was purchased new at Walmart for $50, while Wave Race and the Metabots game were found at a flea market today for $25 for both of them.

NOT pictured are several CDs, Disney movies, a Jem and the Holograms bootleg shirt, and awesome things I probably can’t remember at the moment. Things will (hopefully) slow down now. Christmas is coming and I need to be able to afford it D= Today was SO expensive.

And for the record, most of this was purchased a while ago. Just never got pictures of it.

Updates:

Updated the Custom by me page with my custom Sailor Chibi Moon figure finally.

Updated my Disney DVD List. Holey 80+ movies batman.

Added some scans to Sailor Moon Bottle Caps page and The Sailor Moon PC-Engine game page.

MIGHT ditch the image buttons. I’m not motivated enough to keep making them lol D=

Overhaul

So I’m doing some overhauling!

If you haven’t noticed, I go through a LOT of different templates. Thing is, you might NOT notice because the template is usally laid out the same way. The big difference is normally in the header, menu, and width of the page. Some of these might change size, shape, or font. At this moment, I THINK this template will stick. It’s wide, the menu buttons are accessible and don’t hide at the bottom of your browser anymore.

The overhaul will be more obvious at the main Sailor Moon page, where I’ve included some old collection shots, as well as some info about my collection.

If you look at the Plushies page you’ll see that I’ve begun adding content to the “inbetween pages”. There is something similar on previous pages, but I’m not at all happy with it.

I added a meeting and autograph session with Australian singer Kate Miller-Heidke a couple months ago, but never posted it here.

Added a Sailor Moon PC Engine game tonight. Edited the Classic SM Uncut DVD review, as well as the SM R Uncut DVD review. And probably a lot of plushie stuff that wasn’t there before.

OH, and I’ve seriously updated my Disney DVD list because I’ve been buying them at a stupidly fast rate. Silly Walmart sales…

OH and by the way…

I found these beauties somewhere between the East Meets West Festival in Edmonton, a game shop, HMV, Walmart, Value Village, and a flea market on 111 avenue here in Ed.
